The first commandment in Exodus 20:2 says “I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.” Remember, spiritually interpreted this refers to our ability to be released from bondage by means of our understanding of the Law.
The second “commandment” in Exodus 20:3 says “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” This commandment can also be understood spiritually for the internal man.

Job 42:3-4 “Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not. Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.”
How do we get answers without first having knowledge? Admit you don’t know. Ask God for answers and he will give us knowledge about it so we will know and have direction.
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
