Genesis 3:24 “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.”
There is “the way of the tree of life” and this way is kept by a sword that can turn every other (wrong) way back to the way of the tree of life. The Bible speaks of a wrong way and a right way.
Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof [are] the ways of death.”
There is a “way” that is life and a “way” that is death. And it says “the way” of the tree of life is a way to happiness;

John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
It says that the world will provide “tribulation” for man. However, it says to be happy because someone can/has/will/did overcome the world.
1 John 5:1, 4-5 “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. ... For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”

1 Corinthians 8:2 “And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.”
Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
What can man know or understand then?
Mark 13:31-32 “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.”
In the Bible “heaven and earth” represent something other than just the physical earth and sky. Man cannot now and is not supposed to know when the “heaven and earth” shall pass away”.
